 NURSE PRACTITIONER Working autonomously, the nurse practitioners (NP) will conduct physical assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat common conditions, provide screenings, interventions, counseling, and prescribe medications as needed to patients in specified age categories. Housecall Doctors' nurse practitioners are supported in their delivery of high-quality care with the use of an electronic medical records (EMR) system that supports evidence-based practice for patient visits. Our NP’s work as a vital part of the larger organizational culture that embraces 5 essential principals: Clinical Quality, Customer Service, Community Outreach, Administrative Accountability and Professionalism. - Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common illnesses for homebound patients
- Ensure patient information, visit history, refer outs, lab follow-up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the EMR
- Help patients manage their well-being with vaccinations and patient education
- Identify opportunities within local communities for development of outreach activities
- Daily use of computer, software programs (EMR), printer, and scanner
- Perform non-clinical tasks as required (e.g. log records, z-reports, vaccination temperature management, bathroom inspection checklists, maintain clinic appearance)
- Complete financial responsibilities pertaining to customer payments if required
- Must be willing to travel within the local region for patient visits
- Develop a close working relationship with home agencies and support providers

Education/Certifications
- Nurse Practitioner Degree
- Current Indiana License
- License to practice as Practice Nurse
